My 5-year-old is a BIT high-strung. She often melts down at the tiniest issue.
We are working with her on ways to control her emotions and calm herself down. Here is one of our latest attempts.
I got the idea here. I didn’t have any glitter glue so I made my own.
I mixed the glitter into the clear school glue until I was satisfied with the color and amount of sparkle. Then I poured the glue into the jar with about 12 ounces of hot water. I added extra glitter for more sparkle.
Most important step – Super glue the lid to the jar. You don’t want a jar full of water and glitter to get opened and spilled by a
mischievous curious three-year old.
Last, I hot-glued a ribbon to the jar to add a bow and used some transparent stickers.
The glitter takes about 5 minutes to settle back to the bottom after shaking the jar. So Little Miss can sit and watch it swirl around in pretty patterns and by the time it is all settled, she should be too.
